Review by hotel critic
During my weekend at Hôtel du Forum in historic Arles, I felt a blend of comfort and charm that perfectly encapsulates the essence of Provence. The hotel's location is superb; mere steps away from the famous Café Van Gogh and nestled in the heart of the ancient city, it offers easy access to various local attractions while maintaining a serene atmosphere. Upon arrival, the staff, embodying hospitality in its truest form, greeted us with warmth and made our experience feel like home. Their multilingual abilities and accommodating nature were appreciated, especially when they parked our car in their secure garage—an essential service given the quaint city streets. The swimming pool, a hidden oasis surrounded by lush gardens, provided a tranquil spot to unwind after exploring. Here, I enjoyed a refreshing cocktail while soaking up the Provençal sun, a moment made even more special by the poolside bar service. The continental breakfast was a delightful assortment, featuring fresh local bread, fruit, and hearty options that made for a pleasant start to our days. Each of the elegantly designed rooms had unique touches, like Van Gogh-inspired decor, ensuring a comfortable retreat after our adventures. Hôtel du Forum is an exquisite blend of history, comfort, and exceptional service, making it a perfect choice for travelers yearning for a genuine slice of Arles. I would return in a heartbeat, boasting about it to fellow conservationists and explorers alike, as we share stories under the enchanting Provençal sky.
